Surprise!!! 1 week early I changed my flights and hopped on a plane home from Costa Rica and caught a plane to Edmonton, then a shuttle to the hotel where my parents happened to be staying for the weekend. I showed up just after midnight in the lobby and got the guy to call to their room and try to get my dad downstairs, but he wouldn't play along so I had to get on the phone, he was still really confused. They were very happy. The excitement of seeing snow is wearing off though especially after shovelling my car out of 2 feet of snow my brother so kindly left for me. And its -32 degrees outside, yeah!!! I love it, grrr. I miss Brazil. But I've been having an awesome time catching up with everyone. Actually lots of you still don't know I'm home do you, bwahahahaha. I've got to find a job and prepare for the two med school interviews that I have next week :)))

So, I spent the rest of my time in Brasil in Jeri, I had 3 different room mates in the same pousada. Me and another english guy made it to the bitter end when everyone in our group had left. I lost the last key to our pousada and the scary woman who runs the place surprisingly didn't go ape shit like she did when the first key was lost (by Adam, not me!) You should see the way they deal with that on a sunday in Jeri with no locksmith for miles... bust the door down, what else??? I actually cried out when he tried to smash in the door with a sledge hammer. Luckily he just ripped the framing off the wall and somehow glued the whole thing back together again, only 25$ to fix, whew.

Kitesurfing was awesome! I got up on my third day. He finally gave me the board and I went, addicting. That was one of the reasons I stuck around for so long. The winds literally just stopped though the one day and never came back and all the wind and kite surfers left. Its teh rainy/no wind season til Jul now I guess.

My flight to Costa Rica flew into Manaus so I can say I've seen the Amazon, although only from a plane, and panama too. Finally though I made it to San Jose and I spent 2 nights in a really nice hotel and chilled out and went shopping. How sad, I was in Costa Rica and that was all I did. But you know travelling is exhausting and I was ready to come home. I'm sitting in GP though now wondering, am I crazzzzy???

So that is the end of my south american journey. But, if I get into med school, which I know in May, there may be a part 2 coming up very soon!!!
