Sao Paulo and Paraty, Brazil

Finally my parents are here. It was really weird watching them get off the plane and seeing them here in Brazil. We´ve been having an awesome time so far. It was a really long day the first one, they arrived at 11:00 in the morning and we waited for a afternoon bus to Paraty and arrived at 11:00 at night. The first pousada was not that nice, my bed was okay but mom and dads was like a rock. The bus ride was interesting, we figured out why Brazil puts out world class formula one race car drivers, because of their bus routes. We were laughing the whole way but really some of those corners were quite scary. Paraty is Beautiful!!! Rolling hills with lush rainforest and islands dotting the ocean. Our first day we did a boat tour to an island and tasted some capirinhas and stopped to feed the fish crumbs of bread. The second day we went on a jeep tour with all foreigners who spoke English and I ran into my old travel buddy, Lionel, WEIRD! Fourth time I´ve run into him. We stopped at two different cachaca distilleries and sampled more cachaca (alcohol made from sugarcane), turning dad into an alcoholic, heehee. His leg is swelling up bad so he needs it. The second pousada we moved to was beautiful, individual chalets with a sauna and a pool and lots of flowers and trees. Both nights we had amazing food. This morning we caught the bus back to Sao Paulo, luckily cause we bought the last three tickets, and now are waiting for our bus to Foz do Iguaco, we will arrive tomorrow morning, yahoo!!!
