I need to tie up some loose ends -
My charming kitty disappeared a week after those photo's graced the world. There are a few theories about her disapperance:
1) that the maid stole her (she is really cute)
2) that the maid hated it and stuck it outside and it got lost and...
3) that it was eaten by wild dogs
4) that a nice rich family found her, while she was lost, and decided to give schwarma a good home with tuna and milk for dinner every day...
I am leaning towards the 4th.
My lizard: It went missing as well for a few weeks (see why I am afraid of children?). Then I was having a late night- power off shower and I kicked my door closed, and a this GIGANTIC lizard came running out and into my shower then around the door. And yes, I will admit to screaming like a little girl. I found it cowered behind my fridge with my lizard! Turns out that he was inviting friends for all night curousing. Seriously it was huge, like twice the size of my cute one, like a baby alligator. The big guy 'butch' is green and scaly, and makes a noise when he runs on my floor. I am hoping that he moves out soon. Though, still have not seen a mosquito in my apartment.
It has been a while since I vented properly. But I don't think that it will happen today. There is just too many things going on. My work is starting to irritate me, just the act of coming into work is getting frustrating. Nothing seems to be going right, have had rough couple of weeks, that I will happy tell you next time we have about an hour...
In a nutshell, these are what are driving me crazy: Haven't been out to the field since Kassala in December. They cancelled my vacation time to Kenya, and I can't seem to finish anything at work. Its proposal after proposal and report after report that are changed a little bit, or a bit more.
And I go home soon. Its going to be a funny homecoming. After thinking hard here, I have decided to give 'suburbia' life a good shot (actually not suburbia, a hip little apartment in Kensington with the man I love is really very cool), with work in the 'private sector' something that I will need to find. Any suggestions? In short, I am asking the world what to do with my life (how very democratic of me...or is it a cop-out?)
I am off to a Thai Massage - its one of the few things that I enjoy these days...
I am so ready to leave I can smell my apartment.
