Yay! It's just past 2 and we've been back from our ride up to the stupa for about 15 minutes. Sore tushi! It rained the whole time, except at the very top. The Peace Stupa is beautiful and the view superb, even with the cloud. We called ourselves Wyett and Jane, and the locals sure looked afeard when we came a-ridin' through town with our posse (Prakas, aged 14). As we wuz a-mountin' our steeds Ziv and Yael walked along the street so Ziv took over the pictshur-takin' contraption.

Once we were through the outskirts of town we rode through small lanes in fields, passing farms and people going about their morning chores. When we started to ascend there were switchbacks, and a few spots where we had to dismount so the horses could manage the slippery ground. I'm glad we rode - Brenden had never been on a horse before.

We're ravenous now so gonna go see Anna and eat, or eat and go see Anna.

10.30pm. Caught up with Anna - Mark's back and has apologised for his behaviour so they'll continue on to India together as planned. If it's not raining we'll taxi to Devil's Falls and the cave, picking up Anna on the way, tomorrow morning. Dinner at Raj's again. Had some internet time this afternoon - 100r for an hour! Washed some more clothes. Both my white bras are pink in places from the cotton in my salwaar kameez. My pale knickers are black in patches for the same reason.
It's absolutely pouring! Hope this doesn't mean scary things for the road, the day after tomorrow....
we reckon we heard Zivand Yael take off this morning - maybe half an hour late, around 11.15am. We are welcome in Israel if/when we can go. Ziv says I have hutzpah.
