Grand Final Day - Peaceful Guest House, Ngawal.  Chess: B - 0   Z - 2
Wow! Slept in until 7am! Now it's 8 and B's still asleep. We can see Chumla Peak & Pisang Peak from here, too. Getting hungry - must eat some carbs or I'm going to fall down. A strong outlook is not enough on this trek - physical health is really important and as always one affects the other.
When I'm really exhausted I just want to be at home and I resent everything.

Yesterday when we rounded a corner and there was another uphill bit I nearly cried, I wanted to sit down and stay there.
Yael and Ziv have just left, Ziv was suffering yesterday with a bad headache and vomiting. We'll catch up with them in Manang; Brenden has a plan to beat Ziv at chess.

It's 1pm and we've stopped for a rest. There are pine trees, bare cliffs and snow-capped mountains all around us, and it's a beautiful day with a cool breeze. Well, onward and upward!!

Go Sainters!!  Chess: B - 6   J - 0.      B - D     Z - 3, D.    Backgammon; B - 1    J - 3
Trekkers Bakery, Top of the Hill in Mungji, Braka. 3pm
We stopped here for rest and lunch and met an aussie couple from Brisbane, Kath and Warwick. One of the Israeli groups are here too, they've been waiting for their lunch for an hour. I just tried some seabuckthorn juice - it was very sweet but delicious and seemed to give me renewed energy.

Also saw our first yaks today. I believe today's the day to eat our Vegemite - will it be wasted on a chapati though? Maybe I should wait and eat it on the plane with 'decent' toast. That was a joke. Warwick said that every time he turns a prayer-wheel he chants 'No-one tell me who wins the Grand Final...' Kath just prays for strong calves! I wish I had a book to read......
Still waitiing.......well, we were warned. I'm hungry! It's a good thing.

Here we are in Manang! At the Yak Hotel, which was the first lodge in Manang, built in 1983. Was a lovely walk today. As we walked into Manang we spotted Richard the kiwi sitting on a roof smoking a cigarette. So far we know that a french couple we met in Pisang are here, but we've heard nothing about Ziv and Yael yet.
