"I do farts that smell like sarparilla" Brenden Horn, 7am.

We are now at Bhratang and it's 12pm. We're having a light lunch with our own water, a bit of a read and some writing then on to Pisang. We should be there by about 5 o'clock.
Left Chame quite late - about 20 to 9 - and have had only 2 sit down rests, one of these to listen to some inspirational music. Dido and Children Collide. Dido made me cry, but only trickling not big sobs like yesterday. Some other trekkers were shocked to come around the corner to two aussies belting out Farewell Rocketship to the mountains!

Can't wait to spend a whole day resting. Maybe the wet bloody t-shirts we've been carrying for the last 3 days will dry, too.

6pm. We're in Pisang. My feet and my shoulder blades are indescribably sore - little pains are shooting through my feet, I just want to go to sleep but we must eat and drink some more water, too. Brenden is fine, but I have a headache. We are now at 3,100 metres.

We are staying at The Maya Guest House run by a lovely woman - Maya - and some bare-bottomed babies. Maybe we'll catch up with Alain and Raj while we're here.
