We spent the morning in Townsville. We had an extraordinarily long breakfast - it took over an hour to get our food. Seriously, I could've poached eggs faster. It was delicioius once it arrived.

Walked off our breakfast along the Townsville waterfront, then hit the road. More road construction and traffic circles on our way to Port Douglas, just north of Cairns.
