Herding Cats

Thanks. I keep looking to see if any parent has heard something. I didn't even know they should have been there yet. Geez!

I talked to Piper yesterday about 11:00 am (our time), which was 2:00 am (China time). She was so excited she couldn't speak fast enough to tell me everything! She said the trip from Chicago to Tokyo was great because the flight wasn't completely full, so she has an empty seat next to her and was able to stretch out and sleep some. She said she ate sushi on the plane, which she thought was VERY cool. They were in their hotel room and were supposed to be up that morning by 6 am to begin their day. She thought it was really fun that they "traveled to the future" and that it was 2 am the next day. She said everything outside was lit up and there were huge billboards everywhere you looked with Chinese writing and strange looking pictures. She was so excited......I really doubt they got much sleep at all...!!

Piper sent a text message to me last night at 12:42 am (which I guess is 2:42 pm China time). She said she was sooooo tired...but having "so much fun!"
She said:
"We just left the Lama Temple (Buddha) and now we're going to the Temple of Heaven." After that, we're going to The Pearl Market!! :) Yaaay! Presents for Mommy! Oh, and tell Dad I've got a surprise for him already :o)"
