Last night we arrived in Auckland after 15 hours of non-stop travel, and after the buzz of Hong Kong we realised that Auckland's lack of buzz refelcted our state of what we think is called is called, erm, jetlag. Pretty much everyone we've met asked us if we were jetlagged and we were like.. nooo! (we definitely were)...

Anywho! Today is a new day and Auckland won us over today especially as The Kiwis are "sewwper" friendly and George made the bold move suggesting we get a ferry to Wahiki Island which can only be described as LUSH! We indulged in trekking, beach-ness and weird arty sculpture things which probably used by us for comedy photo opportunity rather than artistic contemplation.

It was HOT STUFF today and Wells and I have rather interesting "tan lines" on our arms. Not to mention I was wearing cross shaped sandals and I have just taken them off and let me tell you- it's NOT a pretty sight... The lobster has arrived!

To say the least, George and Wells have been staring longingly at my Merrell's (http://www.merrell.com/UK/en-GB/Product.mvc.aspx/18596W/38786/Grey/J87716?dimensions=0) gorgeous aren't they?! - especially when considering the numerous amount of trekking we will inevitably be up to. SO after trailing all of two shoe shops in Auckland, I sat and played fruit ninja while they panic bought "multi-terrain" shoes (they wish they were Merrells); just in time to leave them at home for our first walk. Wells' blisters defintely proved they will come in handy at some point.

We may not blogging for a while as we are being spontaneous and hiring a car (a gorgeous cream Nissan probably made in about 1965) and going t'up north for a week to see the Bay of Islands and other spots/beaches that aren't covered by our bus tour.

We are very much enjoying our O.E. (The Kiwis' name for travelling meaning overseas experience-they really have far too much time on their hands!)

So peace out! Jen, George and Wells! xxxx
