    While we were in Gatlinburg, Talia and I took a walk down the tourist main street/corridor in the evening while Tony and the younger girls swam in the pool at our lodge/hotel that they thought was AMAZING, because it was 70's style (according to Tony) with rock ledges, and 9 ft. deep areas of the pool. 
     A big highlight during our stay was getting to ride horseback for an hour through the mountains (yep, even Amber was on her own horse, led by a line hooked up to our trail guide and his horse).  A bit scary I thought, at first, because my horse wouldn't always be in the middle of the path, and I was a bit worried about falling down the cliff off my horse, but I kept my balance pretty well...   ;)  The girls really seemed to enjoy it (their second time, after they tried it for the first time last November in Kissimmee).    
    We learned during our visit that it was PEAK time to see the changing leaves, and they were GORGEOUS!  (See my main blog picture for a great example of the colors...was ideal at the bottom of the mountains, but as we went up, the trees had already lost their leaves...)
