Hi all,
So my time with Blue Ventures has come to an end. It has been a long fun six weeks full of lots of highs and, of course, the occasional low.
I am now officially a divemaster, have mastered my coral identification and can tell my skunk anemone fish from my long thin banner fish. I have become an expert rum drinker and can shake my ass in true malagasy style to all the local tunes (which i know all the words to) . I have learnt how to make the best out of fish, rice and beans at every meal. My french and malagasy are coming along nicely; I have learnt not to miss internetm phone , telly or news. I have met some fabulous people many of whom i hope will be friends for life and I have managed to get through it all relatively unscathed ( i did manage to get a rather nasty middle ear barotrauma injury which had me out of the water and deaf for a couple of weeks but i am all healed now)
So what now ? well i have grouped up with 7 others and we hqve endured the journey back to the rest of the world. we have come to a national park called ranoafana (hot water in malagasy) to spend xmas trekking in the junglem seeing lemurs, scimming in hot springs and drinking rum out of coconuts. we have managed to find the only 4 bottles of champagne in Tulear (no mean feat) m have collated many hours of xmas tunes , our palm tree is decorated and we are all set for a fabulous time. I wish you all a great xmas too and will be back in the UK in a week of so
lots of love and hugs
