Gidday all!
Rainy, cold day today....stayed dry whilst at Hollywood Cemetery but went downhill from there.
We had fun driving on these crazy streets listening to The Ramones after paying our respects at Johnny's grave; went and ate a massive hot dog at Pink's, then off to Rodeo Drive to buy perfume for Viv......dried our hands on beautifully rolled hand towels at the loo's in the Beverly Wiltshire.
Tried to drive to Getty's museum but got stuck in peak hour so turned around and went back to Hollywood to check out the pavement at Grauman's Theatre. We drove past lot's & lot's of interesting sights, signs, buildings....an MD who assesses needs for marijuana; an op-shop called Out Of The Closet; a dog exercise & play clinic; the massive church of JC & the Latter Day Saints ( really? Couldn't the money've been better spent guys?)

Gotta get up early to head off to Vegas....still can't load any pics but it'll be worth it when we do.
Hey did I mention there's Wedding Chapels in LA, too!!!? Who'd've thunkit? AND the most hideously amusingly foul wedding dress shops - I thought at first it was a joke, a costume shop - but, nooooo! This is serious stuff, wait til you see the pics.....
Hugs, Love, Light.

PS....

I entered the above in a shop about 20 metres from the hotel; it is the office for a local car rental company. They had 3 pc's for public use.
After I closed down my pc I attempted to pay the woman at the counter but she'd only accept a dollar, and we started chatting. When she - Claudia - learned that I'm an aussie she said Oh so's Steve, well he was until the other day when he was naturalised. She shouted down the back to Steve, who came out to talk. Turns out they are hiring the space as campaign headquarters as Steve is running for Los Angeles City Council, Ward 4. He gave me a whole stack of info I wish we'd had a little earlier than the night before we're leaving, and was very funny as well. He told me that Banksy was in town, but council was hot on his heels and removing his art (which Steve didn't agree with)

Apparently Banksy had painted Mickey Mouse on a prominent billboard looking out evilly from behind the model, grasping her breast and smoking a cigarette.
Steve also told me about the reasons behind the artwork  in the subway stations and why Texas & Tennessee have deliciously similiar barbecue.
By the time we stopped talking it was about11 pm and I wished them luck and left...they would apparently be there all night.

Thanks Stephen Box; cool chat.
