Where I stayed
And it was good to be back on Bali. It is a very busy place. A bit too busy. But still there is something about the people there and the temples and the offerings that the muslim side of Indonesia is lacking
And it was good to return to our gracous hosts Michael and Brama at the Paradise Bali who treated us as if we were long lost friends yet again. We quite enjoyed seeing these two and spending some more time at this little find of a hotel. During our few days here we hung out with dear Henry; looking for surf (and scoring a good day), trying to sell Jeff's surf board (thanks to Henry for making this a much much less painful process); relaxing; taking a long road trip to check out the area west of Kuta, spending time in Kuta taking care of various admin, and exploring the area.
The highlight of this few days though, was our Private Villa experience. Yep that's right. Harry in a severe fit of over-generosity granted us an evening stay at an amazing Private Villa. So what is a Private Villa? We weren't sure but we were delighted to find out. Basically, it turned out to be a small house. Complete with a massive bathroom, with a massive tub. Oh, and an outdoor shower spitting out of a maiden's mouth. That's in addition to the regular indoor shower. Oh and in addition to yet another bathroom out by the pool. Did we forget to mention that we had our own pool? Yes I think we did. And surrounding the private pool would be the bungalow on one side, a nicely landscaped wall on the other side, the entrance to the sliding door leading into the bedroom on the "house" side, and an entire outdoor kitchen cum lounge area on the other side. Oh, and in addition to the king size bed, the outdoor day bed, the bungalow, there was also another couple of couches in the living area in case you wanted yet another place to hang out. Harry, we can't thank you enough. We can't imagine a more luxiourous way to say goodbye to the good times we had in Indonesia.
