Thursday afternoon we took the "Student Agency Bus" from Prague to Cesky Krumlov (Only $9 each and it included free coffee, internet and a movie! We were impressed).

Cesky Krumlov is really beautiful - I took lots of photos! We had dinner in a restaurant called "Two Mary's" that made traditional food that people living here in the middle ages would have eaten (lots of grains - some smoked meat for Andrew). It was really good. At the table next to us, a cat that looked just like my cat Lucy was sleeping. It was cool, but weird, to meet "Lucy's twin" over here.

Friday we went on a "Brewing History Tour" of the local brewery that has been around also since the middle ages and tried some tasty beers. Then we went for a tour of the castle. (Also really beautiful!) It was amazing that the walls were still painted with paint from the 1600's and there were huge, bright tapestries on the walls. There was a ball-room type room painted yellow with "Comedia Del'Arte" characters all over the walls. Unfortunately we weren't allowed to take pictures.

After supper, we went bowling! It was a little bit harder than I remembered!
Today we went kayaking on the Vltava River that goes through the town. We kayaked 16 KM in total including 4 big rapids that you have to cross by going into concrete "chutes". (Jen 3, Rapids 1) In hindsight, an inflatable raft might have been easier but less cool! I took some cool pictures of the rapids too.

We just spent our last 100 crowns (about $5) at the Mini-Mart and got 3 large beer, 1 bag of chips and a big chocolate bar. Super-score!
