I hope you are having a very nice week. It probably will not have been as good as ours has been but thats just life...I'm only joking. I went back and looked at one one of my old blogs are realized that my spelling is extra bad these days. Sorry!!!
So, what do you need to know. Yesterday we visited a school with a solid food & milk feeding program. 50 of the most dire need children receive a great meal and vitamins Monday - Friday. They were the sweetest children. They said that they all have gained a significant amount of weight since beginning the program. All the boys kept doing this hand signal to each other and I could not figure it out. Finally I realized they were doing Spiderman motions like shooting web out of their wrists. Cartoons cross all cultural barriers.
A Jenai observation...Don't you think it's completely screwed up that Americans spend so much time trying to loose/maintain their weight while their are children in 3rd World Countries that have no food to eat? I know that it is short sided to compare but that just struck me yesterday.
Last night was the Intercity Meeting. It had 40 Rotary Clubs and we were the guests of honor. Everyone here knows our National Anthem and of course we do not know theirs. I want to learn it though because it fills you with pride to just listening to it even though I have no clue what they are saying. It is very peppy and fight songish!!
Okay, breakfast time. Miss you all. I will write more tonight.
Have a great week!
