Having slept nearly the whole way from Fiji to LA, we arrived into the crazy world of american airport security. Thankfully we didn't have any problems or got asked too many dodgy questions, although Dale was sweating it a bit. Jumped a taxi to our hostel in Venice Beach and started Chapter 4 of the adventure.

Walking out onto the walkway along the waterfront at Venice Beach we were greeted by all the freaks and weirdos of the day, nothing like flinging you in at the deepend. Although it is exactly how I would imagine LA to be.

We spent a few days hanging out in Venice Beach and Santa Monica, walking along the boardwalk and along the Santa Monica Pier. The pier housed the Bubba Gump shrimp restaurant out of Forest Gump which was quite cool to see. Santa Monica is also home to Muscle Beach where we saw all sorts working out and pumping iron in the blazing heat - you have got to be nuts!

I loved my time in Venice Beach and Santa Monica because it really was exactly how it looks on the tv. Full of crazys and you could just people watch all day!
