After a 12 hour flight we arrived in Singapore! The flight was horrible as for some very unfair reason I got a cold in Heathrow airport and had to sit through a 12 hour night flight trying not to sneeze and cough all over the man next to me!!!!

It is so hot here, it really is like being in a sauna! Luckily EVERYWHERE is air-conditioned.  The first day in Singapore we went for a bit of a wander on Orchard Road which may be the best shopping centre in the world - I have never seen so many designer shops! Then we went on the Singpore flyer which was good as we got to see the F1 track.  Singapore is so built up and modern.  They also have a crazy number of cargo ships just sitting around in the sea!
We went to dinner at Boat Quay which was really nice, we went for some traditional food, we had pizza!!!

The next day we went to Sentosa island which would be a great place to stay, but far far too hot! The aquarium there is good and watched a dolphin show and just had a wander around.  Sentosa had loads of things to do there, but I got hot and grumpy and refused to put a helmet on to go on the luge due to the heat (and my hair- its already frizzy enough!), but would like to go there later in the day to do that.
In the evening we went to Raffles hotel which is AMAZING!!!! The hotel is so pretty! Really traditional with loads of white coloumns - looked very expensive! We had a Singapore sling in the bar which was very tasty and threw the nut shells on the floor.  We then went to Clarke Quay to where all the clubs and bars are, but we were a bit too tired to appreciate it - although it reminds me a bit of what I imagine the O2 to be like in London!
