This entry is will double up as my Perth entry and to submit photographs i've taken along the way of roadside signs, road names etc that i find comical. I'll try and put a short story to accompany each one so you'll know where it was taken and, if it's not obvious, the significance of the name. Make sure you check this one out regularly and you never know, a photo may be dedicated to you!

Keeping in line with both our budget and the stero-typical traveller vehicle, sarah and i hired a 3.8 6 cyclinder monster to power our way up the west coast of Australia in little over a week. We travelled around 2,000 miles and got through a small fortune in petrol costs but did manage to see most of the recommended sights along the way.

When we arrived in Perth we had already arranged to stay with Neta on our first night (Isralie girl who i met in Asia. Neta welcomed us and it was weird seeing her again. That night saw Sarah and I head into Freemantle town to hook up with a lad named Mac, whom i met in Sydney back in November. A casual one with him and his mates that night, and the following day saw us all meet up for a BBQ at Bibra Lake where 14 metre cliff jumps were made with the aid of a few beers for courage!

That evening saw us begin our trip up the coast, and during our time in WA, we stayed at the following plasces:-

Geraldton, Kalbari, Denham, Monkey Bay plus others. All very very good and it left us wondering why on earth we hadn't spent longer in WA.

It was kind of a shame then when, on 13th January, we boarded our flight to JoBerg with a connecting flight leaving to Cape Town. Again, we opted for the cheapest internal flight leaving it touch and go as to whether or not we'd make it!
