Morning finally arrived. We did not have a good night. 2 hours after we went to bed, it started to rain and the rain got into our tent. The bottom of my sleeping bag along with my socks was wet and Jeff had a light mist coming down on his head. On top of that, the ground was really hard. We thought the beds in Asia would have prepared us for sleeping on the ground, but this was not the case.

At 6:30 in the morning, music started playing. We thought that this was a sign that we would be leaving early, but turns out we were wrong. We didn't get to leave until 8am. This sucked as we didn’t have breakfast food with as we could not find anything suitable in town the day before.

After leaving the park, we stopped for breakfast and then made our way to a wat located in a town close to the park where over 100 ancient buddha had been found in a nearby rice paddie only 5 days earlier. There was an air of excitement at the wat as people were mulling about and looking at the discovery.

The drive today went through the rice paddie valleys and then through the jagged limestone mountains. We ended in Kong Lor where we walked to the Kong Lor Cave which is also known as the 7km Cave. The cave is 7km long and has a river flowing through it. We boarded wooden motorized canoes with local guides and were taken through the cave. There was one spot where we got out and walked through a lighted area to see some stalagmites and stalactites. In some areas the water was so low that we actually had to get out of the boat and walk a bit. As well as being long, the cave also seemed to consist of many enormous caverns.

Once back at the guesthouse, we showered, which was much needed after camping. Part way through my shower, the power went out and is still out. Luckily, the guesthouse restaurant was still able to make us dinner as they use gas stoves.
