After a nice breakfast at our 'local' diner 'The Red Flame Diner' we set out to find the Rockefeller Center as we wanted to go to the Top of the Rock Observation Deck. I was quite surprised that the signing for tourists in New York is virtually non-existant. We took a while to find the Rockefeller Center and even when we did find it we had trouble locating the entrance we needed!
After waiting in line to buy tickets to the Top of the Rock we were told that the line we were in was for those who had vouchers, so we had to rejoin another line. Eventually we got to the Top of the Rock Observation Deck 70 floors up. Great views from the top. http://www.rockefellercenter.com/.
After a look inside Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue we wandered back to the Hotel. On the way we stopped off at Times Square, sat on the raised seats above the TKTS booth to watch nightfall on Times Square. A wonderful place to people-watch.
