Well, looks like my time in Oz is almost over. These last few days I don't do much noteworthy. But some things are worth mentioning I guess.
On the 25th I was walking through one of the many malls here, and I noticed a statue of a large bull. It reminded me a bit of home, only this bull looked much more magnificent to me. (A picture of the bull in Amersfoort, which was partly destroyed a few months ago.)
The 26th was Australia Day, the day that first foot was set on Australia in 1788 by captain Arthur Philip. There were a lot of events going on in the city, but I was crazy enough to take the ferry to go to Manly (Beach). Not sure though if that was the best choice, because it turned out to be a popular place to go to for a lot of noisy young people. So I didn't stay there very long, but instead enjoyed the ferry back to Circular Quay.
Yesterday I went to the IMAX cinema, to see a movie on the largest IMAX screen in the world (so they claim). Unfortunately there was a bit of storm that evening, with lightning and rain. That was probably the cause of the two power surges during the film. Luckily I had seen the movie (Avatar 3D) before, but it still was a bit frustrating.
