Where I stayed
After a nice flight without any real sleep, Bangkok is the first destination. We're staying in a nice hotel called Honey House 1. Well, I say nice, but it's not what you would expect from a hotel at home. But it'll do, because it's only for 4 nights for me. (My friend is staying longer.)
What a city Bangkok is. A huge contrast between the old poor homes and the huge new expensive towers, malls, etc. The contrast is bigger than in Cairo I think, but since I already saw Cairo, the culture shock is not as big.
I'm pretty tired now. We arrived at 7:30 AM local time at the airport, and at around 9:30 AM at the hotel (I think), and at that point I haven't slept for almost 22 hours. But I'm trying to stay awake as long as possible. I'm only planning on going to bed a bit early this evening. So I'll take it easy today. Walk around the neighborhood a bit, do a little shopping, updating this weblog... ;-)
Update: mission failed, I slept a little at 3 PM. But not enough to get past the jet lag, so it's still early to bed for me tonight.
