We got up early to miss the crowds and heat.  The park opened at 7 and there was a line when we arrived.  We hooked up with Miguel Gamboa Marin of Gamboa tours for our guide.  By the first 30 minutes we were glad we did.  He had an eye of the wildlife, often spotting the smallest of insects.  We would have missed almost all of the wildlife if it wasn´t for Miguel.  Elly thought the discovering of the wildlife reminder her of the Hilights magazine you used to read at the Dr. office.  Near the back they had a seek and discovery page where you would find all sorts of pictures disguised in the picture. I have to admit this was harder! We spent about three hours walking in the park and saw Two and Three Toed Sloths, Squirrel and White Faced Capuchin monkeys, Aguties, and tons of other wildlife.  We finally saw a Toucan close enough to get a good picture.  We totally enjoyed our walk in the park.  There are no vehicles allowed in the park which is really nice.  The park has the best beach in CR in it, so we went out and got lunch and came back in to a little more private setting, but still busy

After laying on the beach and swimming for a while, we took another trail with out our guide and hiked to the penninsula Cathedral.  We saw another troop of Capuchin monkeys and just laid back and watched them for a long time.  We could hear Howler monkeys in the forest ahead so went on to find them.  The views from the cliff edge out along the coast were stunning.  We came across a troop of about 30 Howler monkeys feeding and playing in the high canapy.  We laid back and watched them for 30 minutes before they all of a sudden took off.  It is amazing how they can move through the trees.  It was a special moment to share some time with them,  There were no other visitors around.  It was a special day in our vacation, going to be hard to beat this day!
