Just had 133 miles to go today, so we didn't get the earliest start. Was able to cook breakfast and still be on the road by 9 AM. Got to the KOA in New Orleans around 11:30 or so. Chris jumped into the swimming pool and we got terrible directions to the French Quarters.

On our way down here we got to do 17 miles of nothing but a bridge through the marsh, and that was fun. We remember that from back in the 80's when we had gone through there before, but it was dark that time, so this was fun. When we pulled out of our exit this morning, on the same on ramp was a beautiful HD shop, we could have gone there instead of the one in Houston for my tire, oh well. Didn't get to stop there, but sure looked like a nice one. Chris missed the view of that one as he was merging and looking right, not sure why I was looking right, but....we sometimes do that where I will see something and he doesn't or vice versa, we usually chat about when we stop.

After we found our way to French Quarters, with Chris driving and me navigating, (I didn't do the greatest jobs today, but really the map and the person telling us how to go wasn't the best), we had a great time! It was crazy, a lot of people, cool street bands, people walking around with drinks in their hands, just wanted to sit back and watch people. Stayed down there almost 4 hours. We hit a couple of satellite HD shops.

Chris' Aunt Grace recommended Jax Brewery, so we went and found that place. Very nice, went to Hard Rock Cafe, as far as that goes, same ole, same ole. Chris wanted some sea food, so hit the Landry's Seafood House. I think he enjoyed his shrimp, as I wasn't helping him with any of those. The place was nice though.

We both feel we didn't see enough, so this will be one of those places that we need to revisit.

On the way home we stopped at a Walmart to replenish our pantry, well as much as you can restock our pantry. We seem to buy lots of water, as we aren't trusting hotel or campground water.

Sorry no pictures tonight due to technical difficulties. Where's Ryan or David when you need them? Hopefully will post some in the morning, when it is light out. Just wanted to get this out tonight.

Have a big day ahead of us tomorrow, hoping to be in FL and it sounds like we loose another hour. Darn it! Until tomorrow, have a good night! Sher and Chris

On the way back, we found a Walmart and restocked the pantry. Well as much as we can anyways. Always buying water, as we don't like hotel water, and just not sure on the water @ the campgrounds.

Got back to the campground and Chris was able to take a quick dip and feels totally refreshed as he is snoring behind me. I am only able to dip my toes in the water, but it sure felt great. My booboo seems to healing well, Chris still packs it for me twice daily.

Sounds like a nice relaxing day yesterday. I was wondering how you were having a BM at 4! (I wonder if anybody wonders about that... ;-)

I enjoy your posts. It makes me feel like I'm on the trip also. Don't know if the Harley thing would be my choice of wheels. Correction, I KNOW my choice of wheels wouldn't be a Harley. Since I'm a Jeep girl!!!!!!!!!!

Are you going through Pennsacola?

Have a great ride! Glad ur booboo is doing good. Thanks to that male nurse of yours.

I'm right here... :-)
