Had a wonderful time visiting with Mike and Marylou, Michael and Robert.  Hope you guys do well in your last weeks of school. Thank you again!

Got up and was gassed and ready to go by 8AM.  Mike you gave great directions!  Loved route 8 and all of the twisties.  I did have to stop and put my liner on, but it was soon off after we got to the bottom of the mountain.  Chris made mention how God just tossed a basket of rocks out and made it a mountain pass.  I just can't keep thinking how one place is as pretty as the next.  We are so lucky to be living in the US and be able to tour it.

Today was a warm one for us.  Mike predicted that we wouldn't like pass Yuma.  You were right.  It's warm, but I think we expected this.  We got into a little bit of road construction, but this time of the year it is also expected

Shelby and JoAnne thank you for your words of caution to the fires in Eastern AZ.  When we pulled into the KOA, we were greeted by smoke.  We were very cautious about staying here.  The KOA people were amazed how smoky it was, they didnt even know there were fires around.  Weird.  We decided to stay and the wind has shifted, so the smoke is going elsewhere.  There are fires all around and tomorrow will be the tale if we need to alter our route or not.

Since it was so warm and it took it's toll on us, we decided to go in seach of some local cusine tonight.  After finding Wallyworld, we found a Mexican Restaurant to go and try.  We figured  since we were only a right hand turn into Mexico all day and played with Border Patrol all day, we minds well try Mexican food.  Very good.  Some lady noticed we had WA license plate on the bike, and was interested where we were going, and what our trip was all about.  Very fun chatting with her.

Decided to get a really early start tomorrow morning.  Planning on being on the road tomorrow by 6AM.  We'll see, we always have good intentions, but...

To the knitting group tonight, thanx for tagging along on the trip, enjoy hearing from you.  To my group tomorrow, thinking of you, and YES I am getting my protein and vitamins in.  Always!  wonder if I should quit taking my vitamin D for a while?  NOT.

Arizona! It's hot there. When we were in Phoenix it was 120! Hope the fire isn't going to be a problem for you. It does sound like youre hitting all the plagues.

Sherry, I have to laugh...you're in Arizona and write it was "warm for us". Ha, ha, ha...Only you would term it that way. Most others would call it downright HOT, I'm sure. :-) I wondered if smoke was going to be an issue. Sorry to hear it is/was. Hope the winds blow it away from you from here on out. Take care and travel safe.
