Mar de Plata, Argentina

Decided to go to Mar del Plata for the weekend. This is the Blackpool/Brighton/Fountainstown of Argentina i.e. closest beach to anywhere. Not a whole lot to see but there was fresh air and some good sea food - cazuela de mariscos y paella. It's off season here so a lot of things recommended in the old guide book were closed. But I managed to watch Argentina beat Costa Marfil in El Mundial and they celebrated as if they had won the thing. Also found they old sea port after a very very long walk. Smell of dead fish down there was something else. All the trawlers were orange too.
