I live in cottage country, near Algonquin Provincial Park.  Huntsville is a scenic little tourist town nestled in the Canadian Shield.  Hills, Trees and Lakes abound.  There's only 18,000 people here, until summer, where it can get to over 200,000 on an average day.  In the winter, lots of snow and not many people.  I've included some pictures of my apt and some shots of town.  Where I'll be going should be quite different.

When i first set this blog up 2 weeks ago, i had to get my passport renewed, which i did in a record 10days. Next came the Russian invite, which is required before i can request a visa.  I provided information and photo of my passport to the Russian Government, so they can provide me with a proper Invitation to visit their country.  The wait: 1-5 weeks I am told.

Meanwhile, its off to Toronto to process an entry visa for china.  I was at the consolate a record 5 minutes and then a speedy ride back home on my motorcycle.  I made record time.
It takes 4 business days to process the visa, so i'm off to Toronto again on Tuesday.

The big concern is that I can't book any flights until i have both the Russian and Chinese entry visas.  I am told we can get a Mongolian visa when in Russia.  I hope so.

thats it for now.
