A long day, having left Jackonsville in the early morning and using our trusty GPS made our way through Georgia, North Carolina with little effort. A storm was brewing and the weather became unsettled during our trip through Viginia and West Virginia. Bye the time we made it through the mountains in West Virginia to Pennsylvania the roads had become dangerous. As we passed through Pittsburgh, we decided we couldn't make it all the way hme in one day, with the snow and visibility problems, so we decided to find a hotel.
Searching with our GPS, we couldn't find a nearby brand name hotel, so we followed directions to this sleepy little village to gas up and find a place to stay. The motel offered up by the GPS, turned out to be a ram shackle hill billy looking house with no lights on. The cabins for rent look like they did in the 40's. So we turned around and soldiered on to Erie, where a foot of snow was on the ground and everything had come to a stop. After asking at 2 hotels, we finally found a room that was available and crashed for the night. The next morning we would find ourselves back in Canada and i would drop Charles off at home, just across the boarder and i would continue home another 5 hours north. How i missed the sunshine already.
