Never again will I take the beauty of Vancouver for granted. According to locals and former locals one needs to visit the botanical gardens. Upon arriving up the mountainside we entered what I might call a dust bowl. Little or very little color, even in the section that the docent said was beautiful, the meadow. At least it was only an eight dollar donation.

Our next stop was the Court House. The surroundings were lush and green. The whole building was inviting and was free. I think the inside walls were about 8 inches thick, thus the building was very cool and probably doesn't need air conditioning.

Next up was the beach. The sun was out in it's full glory. A perfect afternoon. The waves were crashing onto the shore and many kids had mini surf boards and were trying to catch the perfect one to ride to the shore. People watching proved to be the order after a short nap.

Our day ended at The Biltmore, a very exclusive hotel on the beach in one of the richest zip codes in the US. Non hotel guests are allowed to eat in one restaurant, so we booked for the seafood buffet night. It was worth it. The dip for the lobster was made of lobster bisque and cognac. I dipped more than the lobster into it.
There were a variety of salads and even a few beef dishes.

The temperature has shot up and I can now go out without my brown hoodie. It was the warmest jacket I had, and did need it in the evenings and mornings. Yesterday, the temperature climbed and we loved it.
