Hey Friends,

Ok so Lithuania is growing on me and I never even disliked it. The whole european lifestyle of walking everywhere and bistro style has just captured me. We were just discussing today how hard it will be to go back to the traffic jams and air conditioning in the USA. Everyone here is very private though. Everyone really sticks to themselves and will not look at you or talk to you unless they are staring at you as that crazy american group.
Anyways enough rambling. I've had a really tough time getting pictures to upload so I'm really sorry about that. I have gotten 30 or so up on facebook but I have no idea how. It told me that the site had failed and then emailed me a comment on a photo from my mom. It was weird. I'm now trying to add more there. It is a lot easier to try to add photos right when I get them back to the dorm.
This morning, since it was sunday, we went to a service at the school where we will be having classes. The service was in Lithuanian but we were given headphones to listen along. It was really good the preacher had a passion that a lot of the American churches are missing. The service was about 2 hours long and afterwards we ate at the school a meal of crab salad, soup, and beef tips(i'm giving them american names, not actually what we ate but merely a description). We then went on a tour of Klaipeda and the old town before coming back to the dorm and getting ready for the beach. We were suppose to go to the mall but we thought the beach sounded better. The beach was located on the spit so we had to take the ferry there and then walk through a forest to get to the water. It was so cold but considering that we have been sweating like pigs and ruining all of our clothes it was refreshing. After a while at the beach we walked back into town and picked up pizza or pica at a local shop and then ate it at the dorm before hitting the books(still haven't really done that) and doing some good old bonding. I am actually really amazed at how quickly we have all bonded and really become almost family like. It is so much fun and I really like everyone here. I can't say to much bad about anyone which is nice for a change.
Well its 12:05 here and I still have to shower and write in my journal and touch up on some economics before bed so I will write more as it goes along. Enjoy the burg and Chi-Town and keep me informed!
