Yes, a train full of Russians. Actually just the carriage I was in. But there was a Russian extended family taking the train and the looks of the Chinese faces was real funny. One Russian group brought out the guitar at 9.30pm and started a big sing-a-long. The Chinese guy in that compartment was woken up by the noise and his eyes were so wide with shock. All Chinese trains have a strict lights out at 10pm and the Chinese are generally asleep or ready for sleep just after 9, so this was really something out of left-field for them. Also only a couple of the Russians could speak English, and none (that I saw) could speak Chinese, so interesting seeing them try and order food and drinks.

Yangshou is a really nice place to hang out in. Met 3 other backpackers on the train going there so the 4 of us went for a bike ride around the countryside. Very hazy as the pictures will show, but still awesome scenery.
