Where I stayed
BLM land management= free camping no amen.
So I truck it har from Wickenburg. Stop for beer in the morning in a tiny-tot town. Stop for A pancake stack and sausage at another tot-tittly town. OK the rest of this entry is for the next entry, tomorrow! But Vicksburg was tonight, and the BLMis free camping in the land of nowhere. I loved! it! now the next entry: Haul till the sun is down and manage to enter Calif. About 14miles into the state, I hit the last stop before 95 miles of nothing but nature. It would be beautiful but deadly, and fortuitous for me. But the town brings me a swell little tree to tent under, and relative safety, i.e. desolation. Calif. would prove formidable, moreso than the AZ. I stock up on mango jerky and dried banana, and other fruit as well as honey, and water in PARKER, AZ, just before the bridge line, and it is in an old caboose. A retired bike marathoner, if there is such, buys me a palmo louca, or some sort of Mexi beer. Delicious; we photo shoot and he tells me about getting hit by a semi in his youth, ruined his new bike, decom'd his race, but he rolled out of the way. Good guy, people here have neat semi-spanish accents! super!
