To recap: Natchez saw Eola Hotel, Andre's Tavern, Bottom of the Bluff, Choctaw House, Cherokee House, Rosalie Mansion, and generally rode around town. Revisited Planet Thai, where I ate 3 years ago and where incense burns out front with some sort of offering. A pleasant spot to sit. I woke at 7:00AM the morning of the 12th to see all that in Natchez and had to cross the Miss. River a number of times to and from camp on the Vidalia levee. finished Natchez with a Guiness Stout at the Bottom of th Bluff, saw Andrew's bar tender from the night before there, he pointed out some camping locals across Louisiana, from his Blackberry, for me. I hit up camp the last time around 12:30 and took a few hours packing carefully and laundering my clothes and showering. The camp owner on that levee was a sweet lady, who helped me out just bein' plain nice! I headed out an d the sun was already low in the sky in the afternoon, and by Catahoula it had been down for 2 hours or so. I had many ominous warnings, uncertain territory behind and in front, bayou, and a very rough road shoulder, also not knowing my battery life left so took caution and camped in Catahoula Lake rec. area. The bayou was all around, and I was afraid a gator might come out from the high scrub on the road side, so I slept with a knife in one hand and my baggage and bike piled all around me. Didn't pull out the tent so as not to arouse suspicions, but seems the cars that rode by must have thoughtI was dead and would pull off the road rousing me from sleep. It was an uneasy night and felt sickly damp, so the dawn was a blessing to see. I have pictures of the Louisiana dusk and dawn, and a pocketful from Natchez and the route! Adios!

P.S. along with ominous warnings of being hanged by druggies, I had the best damn chicken fingers with hot sauce at a gas station where HWY54 intersects with HWY28
