This goes along with the last entry, so sorry. I get confused with sequencing things. I stayed at Liz's and it was great, she was great. Continued in the morning onward to hit Natchez by evening. I pass a few power plants, there is a chemical smell in the air, though I am consciously looking for it because I read an artical on the area known as Cancer Alley. I don;t know if this is it, but the area produces a lot of synthetic chemicals proportionately over the rest of the country. Go Figure! So I bike the 75 miles or so between Vicksburg and Natchez in 8 hours. I would say thats making steam. I run across two bicycling young ladies headed to Nashville from Naw'lins. [names to be added] I wanted to persuaded them to come with me, but I mean, come on... So I am hitting the wall by the time MM 15 comes up, and worse still, I want to catch sunset over the Miss. River. To cut it short, doesn't happen, but I did get sunset over the final mile post of the Trace!!! YEAH!!! And I took pictures of some buildings and what not on the way into town. now I sit in Natchez at a nice tavern nextdoor to the Eola hotel. Tonight Iwill hit up Louisiana for a campground jsut over the bridge where supposedly they have laundry!!! PEACE from Natchez!!!
