Today has been the last of 5 wonderful days at Wayanad - a dense forest area measuring about 2100 kmē with a number of national parks in it. We were surrounded in tea, coffee and banana plantations. It was interesting seeing workers extract the ginger and turmeric from the fields, and also followed the processes of extracting rubber from the tree, how they pick and dry pepper and coffee and tea ....we can start our own plantation now...one problem where...one plantation is about the size of all Sliema.
Mandy can officially say that she overcome the fear of heights...after the guide literally dragged her up 1000 ft top reach the summit of Erdakkal caves. We also visited Kulvar islands and the Meenmutty waterfall. (Jesmar: I was amazed how Mandy has improved. She just kept on going even when we were on very hard paths. I guess the adrenaline made her blind!!!)
Here we tried a new means of transportation...the local bus, thus we found out the following fact ... an Indian bus is never full up! People just keep squeezing in....squeezing and squeezing until the next stop when 1 passenger gets down and another 5 replace him. At times I felt like I was playing Twister one limb here and another God knows where!
Tomorrow we are off to Mysore. Hopefully we'll find better internet so we'll upload more photos, especially on facebook.
Bye

hey the place looks beautiful. is that spider real? That waterfall looks very refreshing! No crocodiles there! Where are the animals? Today i met Fiona and David and they asked about you! I told them that you are already bored stiff and would like to come back soon :)

Re: wowww
Yeah we really feel like returning home!!! :) We just informed our agency to cancel all our flights. Obviously we're just kidding..Spider was really big as the palm of my hand (Jesmar)and it was in our bedroom. Mandy told me to kill it, poor spider. It eats cockroaches but still better than having it on us while sleeping.
Mandy sent you an email few days ago about skiing and TV, did u get it?
