J spent the day with friends at the Compo beach in Westport, Connecticut. Westport's Compo Beach was the site of the British invasion of Danbury, also known as Tryon's Raid. The day was nice and hot. We spend the morning relaxing and enjoying the water. The shore line was filled with pebbles, so getting in and out of the water was a mission. The beach got quite filled up with many children who were on their summer holidays. Basking in the sun had made us quite sleepy. We made our way back to White Plains by lunchtime.
