It's to peaceful waking up to the singing of birds instead of cars rushing by. We prepared a picnic basket and our family friends took us sight seeing to Big Trees State Park, to see the big Calaveras big trees. We had our picnic near Lake Alphine, the water was so crystal clear and cool. It sits at 2,227m above sea level.
We went to see the Big Bear Ski resort, she was telling us how in winter is layered in snow. What now looks like a beautiful tree mountain and luscious green meadow, is in winter the ski-ing hill top and meadow becomes the beginners snow pad. Ending the day off we went to a wine tasting at Ironstone Winery. A 44 lb. gold specimen, Ironstone's Crown Jewel is the largest specimen of crystalline gold in existence. We went on a tour of their winery and after did some wine tasting. J bought a couple of bottles to take home for B and her dad. The trek back to Cupertino was long.
