We're T minus 2 days until our big adventure to India begins. I'm really started to get excited about the trip, while Mark is... well-- not so excited yet! To put it in his words "It's too early to get excited. I'll be excited on Monday". OK... whatever you say babe!
Today we've been trying to get as much of our last minute stuff done as is humanly possible. Last minute clothes shopping... CHECK! Trips to Sam's Club, Target etc... CHECK! Gathering paperwork... CHECK! We're almost ready, but there are still a few things we need to do, but for the most part we're ready. We finalized our itinerary (well, as much as it can be finalized) and now the big task begins -- packing. I've never packed for a 12 day trip before, so this is going to be quite a challenge. I can think back to our cruises and how I desperately tried to fit 7 days worth of clothes in one suitcase and a carry-on... ha!
We also have to start taking our anti-malaria pills on Monday. We're taking Malarone, which isn't supposed to have too many side effects. I'm hoping that it will only cause a minimum of discomfort. Other than that, all of our other medical needs have been addressed. While there are no required vaccinations for India, we opted for a Hepatitis A vaccination and Tetanus boosters (I actually was due for mine anyway). Now I just have to get through the next 48 hours... and a 14 hour flight (aye yay yay!). Looking forward to touching down in Delhi... in the meantime, I'll just have to make do with my jitters!
