What I did
Lack of sleep not withstanding, we visited the colosseum.
Rome is a city of constant motion, sirens and tourists. We know this is low season but it is still tourist season in Rome. Everywhere we go we encounter other visitors from around the globe. Nora will be featured in the travel photos of several old Chinese women. They see her and just cannot resist cooing over her and smiling. Italians love her, too. They come over and smile, exclaiming "bellissimo" and commenting that her hands are "frigo". Yes, her hands are cold. They would be cold even if we put mitts on her as she sucks on them and then she wears wet mitts which do not make her hands any warmer. This can not be explained, since I speak no Italian, and anyway, nobody wants to hear an explanation.
We got some lovely photos of Nora in the Colosseum and Forum today, but unfortunately you will have to wait to see them. We have no Wi-Fi access at our B&B (no breakfast) currently, but they will be uploaded as soon as we get a chance. This post is mostly to say we are here and we are fine. Sleep deprived, but fine.
