Arrived at Kirkwood 1am Thursday morning, quick bite to eat then up early to hit the mountain. Perfect conditions, blue skies, sun shining and the entire mountain open. Plenty of powdery fun to be had all round. 
 In total we had 6ft of snow in 4 days, we even got snowed in on Saturday - such a shame . Haha
Sounds of avalanche blasting is heard throughout the resort from 7am until the lifts close, just to make sure they can open as many chairs as possible. 
Couldn't have experienced it with a better crew of people, each evening was spent with everyone cooking up excellent feasts, drinking great Californian wine, listening to good music and laughing - up early for coffee, eggs and then racing to the mountain to get first chair for the fresh powder.
 Ive never seen mountains or snow quite like it -  super low key resort, really friendly people, unpretentious and fun. Cant wait to get back up here for the season next year!
