So, our trip really begins here.
To be fair Manchester isn't the most glamorous of settings but it always gives hope to the other places we'll hopefully be setting in to. For most people the most uncomfortable thing about a trip to Australia is the long haul flight, but I am a serious fan of flights, long ones in particular. Though there is always scope for a change of heart. You can indulge in as much TV, music and film as you wish and usually the selection isn't all that bad. I think a personal highlight should be the fact we're flying with a half decent airline, Emirates. I can't or don't remmeber if I have ever flown with them before but all that your hear about them seems to be good enough. Can't be worse than Air France, can it?
The flight actually stops in two different locations before the disembarkment to Australia (going to shorten to this to Oz, annoying I know but it's easier). We've got a first stop in Dubai which is always necessary for Emirates, its only a short two hour transit then on to Thailand, I presume to refuel or something and then hit the flight to Sydney. Pretty happy with that.
Don't remember what my record is but I think im going to try and watch as many films as I can, either way by the time I get of the flight I'm probably going to be feeling a little shitty. Actually it's probably a more interesting test to booze as many beers as possible, so might do that, but Oz security get wound up about that sort of stuff.
Well look I'll leave this write up as it is because it'll probably be one of the more boring one's I write, I hope. Will be good for people at home to keep looking at blog, following our progress and seeing where we are. I'll try and do it as much as possible but in all honestly I am a bit shit when it comes to maintaining things like this. Always hope and that though.
Cheers
