Well, I'm not really sure if it's the weekend or not! haha...everyday is a Saturday! We were sad to leave the Maldives, but the day had to come...

Singapore Airlines...luxury in an airplane. No better way to travel! Comfort at it's best. It's like an all inclusive resort...alcohol, toothbrushes, socks, blankets...everything you might want or need. The flight was only about 4 and a half hours...10 minutes short of seeing the end of our second movie...ugh. haha.

My cousin and her boyfriend were just in Singapore for a few days, so we decided to splurge and stay at a hotel to give my relatives a break from visitors...unfortunately, we missed Kelsey and Adam by only a couple of days! Clarke Quay was the perfect location! Never a dull moment, tons to see, and easy access to everywhere. Our number one priority was to find Jay a pair of flip flops...since he just went a week without any shoes at all...haha...and I was afraid at how fast he would melt if he had to wear his runners all day! So off to the malls we went...

It didn't take long to find some...thank goodness we had a couple of days in Singapore, back in civilization! He bought sandals and I loaded up on eye drops. It was an amazingly, calm, welcoming feeling to be back in a clean, safe, modern city! I could have stayed in the Maldives longer...but India and Sri Lanka were somewhat tiring...lol.

Not having much time in Singapore, we were sure to meet up with Tim, Tak and Sara for a dinner and some beers. We had missed Sara's birthday, so we had to be sure to get her present to her! it was great to see them again and to share some of our travels.

The rest of our short time in Singapore was spent around Clarke Quay, enjoying the atmosphere and people watching. Anxious to move on to Macau...
