Today again was a bit of a late start, not as bad as the last few days but it was still around midday by the time we had breakfast and got out into the city. Bobbie was keen to go back to a shop and buy something she had seen and liked as well as to find something to wear tonight. In an attempt to get rid of me so she could shop alone she took me to a Starbucks bought a coffee and said "I will be back soon". I sat in Starbucks for a bit using the free wifi and writing a blog while she took off shopping. She returned disappointed the garment she was hoping to buy had disappeared and she couldn't find anything else. While walking back to the hotel, there was another protest rally going on through the Main Street, there were cops everywhere, dressed in riot gear with their big plastic riot shields, they had streets blocked off and people were everywhere. Once back at the hotel we chilled out in the room until it was time to get ready for dinner. We decided that we would return to the really great Italian restaurant that we went to on the night we first met out friends. We headed up there around 6pm and had a great meal with some wine, the food there is incredible. After finishing we called into the bar up the street from the hotel where the 3 older men we really like work, luckily they were all working so we got to see them again, we had a couple of beers there and finished by 8pm to be back at the hotel where our friend Aurelio was meeting us. He got there by 8.15pm and had some traditional Mexican candy for us as a gift, it basically large very flat wafers that are all different colors, we gave him a koala bear peg holding a boomerang which he loved. It was good to see him again and we were glad he was coming because when we met all our friends he was the one who spoke a bit of English and could help us all communicate, even though our Spanish has improved since then it's still good to have him. While we were waiting for a taxi we saw a man throwing up out of a taxi window which was gross. Aurelio took us in a taxi to Zyans work, horror hair, it's a hair salon/ clothing store/ tattoo studio/ punk accessories, so it's a pretty awesome shop. Zyan was finishing a girls hair color which was bright green. After she finished we all left to go to a bar to drink some beers. There was Bobbie and I, Aurelio, Zyan and her boyfriend and also another girl who works at horror hair who also spoke English pretty well, all 6 of us piled into a tiny taxi which is legal in Mexico apparently. They took us to a small bar where they serve huge sized beers and we spent the night catching up and drinking and generally having a great time. It was so good to see them all again and they had brought more gifts for us, we all exchanged presents and jewelry as they like to do over here. We told them about our travels and they begged for us to return as soon as possible and stay at their houses. We had a great night, eventually another group of people that work at horror hair turned up and we all sat around drinking, taking photos and doing our best to communicate. After the bar closed we got a taco and they accompanied us to our hotel, it was very sad to say goodbye again and it took a long time, Bobbie and Zyan got teary and they kept pleading with us to return to see them and not to forget them. It was about 5am and we had to be up at 10 to go to the airport. We got to bed as soon as we could.
