Dong Ha, Quảng Trị, Vietnam

We set off for Laos today. the bus took us to a town on the Vietnamese side of the border, called
Dong Ha to spend one night there before being picked up by another bus and taken across the border into Laos the next morning. It was a bit of a nothing town, obviously just a place that people pass through on their way to the north or to Laos. We were taken what was supposed to be a guesthouse but was more like a cafe with a few rooms out the back. It all smelt distinctly of dog (although there were no canines in sights) and the hostess wasn't particularly welcoming, but it was somewhere to lay our heads and that was enough for us.
