Making the most of the bright sunny weather (we have had a rainy patch recently) I went out this evening to see an open-air Shakespeare comedy, As You Like It.
The setting for this play could not have been more suitable; the Dove Myer Robinson park within the grounds of the Parnell rose gardens. The surrounding trees (albeit a couple of them were palm trees) brought the mythical English forest to life.
Complemented by a wonderfully funny production from very talented actors (who disguised their Kiwi accents perfectly) this was an ideal way to spend a summer evening in Auckland.
