I arose at 4:30AM to catch bus to Maralgue, Argentina-there´s not much there, just a pitstop.  The trip was Ok.  When I arrived, I saw a sign in the bus station that advertised a bus stright to the south to Zapala, located on hwy 40 only on Sunday (at 10:30PM), otherwise, I would have to go north, east, and the southwest again to get to SM de los Andes.  So, I got a good rate on my room, and decided to wait for Sunday.  As I found out later, there is a bus on Thurs also, but I had already paid my night's lodgings for Thur, and decided to wait until Sun.

There really isn't a bunch to do here.  I walked the town, more than once.  And it is a nice, quiet town.  With not much anything at all to do. So, I just read and worked on the internet.

I did catch the bus in the evening on Sunday, and woke up just about when we arrived at Zapala. The route, incidentally, is on the infamous hwy 40, which is about 50% paved.  The trip was fine, considering that I had been "broke in" on the Chapa thru Paraguay.  I mean....who do these folks think we are, wusses?  At Zapala, I had about 6 hrs before the bus departed for San Martin de los Andes.  Fortunately, the gal in the bus terminal cafe agreed to watch my stuff while I went out and checked the town out.  I caught the first outbound bus to SM de los Andes, and arrived there after about a 3-hr trip.
