As soon as I had been on the train about 5 minutes, I said Ï WANT OFF!Ļ It wasnīt a train, it was a boat on railroad tracks!  At times, the trees would brush up against the windows, it is so poorly maintained.  But, I guess the engineer likes living, because we never did go over 25 or 30 MPH.  We were stopping in the middle of nowhere, picking people up and letting others off.  The train trip was long, and I really did get cold during the night.  Thank goodness I had my sleeping bag, but even with that and my green coat, I still was uncomfortable.  Well, the seats didnīt help at all.  Just old hard benches, really.  But...lighten up, Jackie!  Get with the program!

We arrived at Yacuiba about 8AM and I couldn't find my hostel!  Well, not a first, and don't image a last.  So, found a hotel not too far from train station, and went back to bed.  Walked the town a day, and did locate my first hostel-I just didnīt look UP!  and then headed up northeast on the bus.  Why did I go south, just to go north? Well, that is where the train goes.
