Emmett's was more of an opportunity stop than anything else.  Janell and the boys had enough leftovers from lunch to keep them happy, but Jason needed to go get some food.  It was also time for the Thursday night NFL game, and our hotel didn't have the NFL channel.  Since Emmett's was less than 4 miles from the hotel, Jason went there to get some dinner and try to catch the game since the bottled pale ale from Emmett's that we had at a friends house had been pretty good.

The brewpub is in downtown West Dundee, which in itself was kind of nice to find after spending three days driving around the west Chicago suburbs.  There are a lot of strip malls there, so a real small town downtown was kind of refreshing.  The pub is split into two sections, one for bar patrons and one for dinner.  Handsome is the best way to describe the establishment.  There is a lot of dark wood, and it is a very pleasant atmosphere.  It was also quite crowded for a Thursday night.  There were quite a few dinner patrons as well as people there just for the good beers.  I also noticed that I was on the lower age range on the bar side.

Since they weren't showing the game, I only ended up having one beer there before heading out.  It was a pretty good English Pale Ale called .  I also had a caprice turkey burger, which was fantastic!

This is a recommended stop if you are in the west Chicago suburbs.  I would have liked to have stayed for another pint, but the game was beckoning elsewhere.
