I was impressed with how much Halifax has changed since I was younger. The harbour front has developed a lot. We only spend a day there, but I would recommend no less than two. We stayed at the Haliburton Inn. It was nice, but most of the rooms are one, or two flights of stairs up. Yes, guys, before you leave the house, remind the girls that yes, they look good in that, and no, they don't need that much crap...oops, sorry, not crap, ummm, accessories. The hotel was great, and perfectly situated and the continental breakfast, included in the price, was good.

People watching, and walking the harbour front, was great. We ended up eating at the Murphy's On the Water, which was great. The food was good, and the view was nice too.

After our first night in Halifax we headed for the day at Peggy's Cove. It was fun seeing no-brained tourists walk down the middle of the road and freak out when your car came near them. Gee, 20Kmph is too fast. Get off the road you moron!!! They should just have been squished and used for lobster bait. Mmmmm, lobster.

Again, the weather wasn't all that great for pictures. A white lighthouse with a clouded white sky. Yeah, those will turn out great :( Thank God for Photoshop. We spent most of the day scrambling across the rocks and peering into the tidepools, trying to keep one stone in front of the rest. What can you say other than that it's Peggy's Cove and an absolute "Must-see" of Nova Scotia. If you haven't cursed a foreigner for having gotten into your perfect shot of the lighthouse at Peggy's Cove you haven't visited Nova Scotia.
