With our change in plans from the last post, we knew we had a reasonable drive ahead of us today to reach Butte, MT. With that in mind, we had a great breakfast at the hotel before packing up to leave. From there, and with the kids napping, we set course North for Butte. Stopping this time for only 2 Starbucks locations along the way, and gas, of course, we made good time to Butte, and are holed up at the local KOA. Truthfully, the day was very uneventful and we are blessed with these kids that are traveling wonderfully well.

One tragedy today though, while helping Jaxson with his two cups of juice from the restaurant, I made the cardinal mistake of attempting to balance my phone on top of one of his cups, and of course it didn't balance at all. Well it shattered. I needed several minutes to compose myself and regain some perspective on the carnage that had just taken place. I called Apple immediately and they suggested I stop at a store and they would look at replacing it for me. By my calculations, the next store on our journey is in Spokane. One more stop, maybe while Amy is in Starbucks.

So, we are planning to be in Coeur d'alene tomorrow and Birch Bay Thursday night. If anyone is willing and able to join us for what have become the legendary Barchy s'mores, please come by. Dinner or just drinks, it would be great to see anyone that's able to drop down for a fire and a beer. Cheers from Butte.

PS, thank you all for the anniversary wishes. We couldn't think of a better way to spend this one with our boys on such a wonderful family trip.
